If you love a drink that’s bold, fruity, and packed with health benefits, Sobolo (also known as Hibiscus Tea) is your new bestie! Made from dried hibiscus petals, pineapple, ginger, and cloves, this vibrant red drink is not only refreshing but also great for your body. At Teema Organics, we believe wellness should taste amazing and this drink proves it.
Ingredients
• 2 cups dried hibiscus leaves
• 1 medium pineapple (peeled and chopped)
• 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger (peeled and sliced)
• 5 cloves
• 8 cups water
• Honey or natural sweetener (optional)
Step 1: Prep the ingredients
Rinse the hibiscus leaves and chop your pineapple into small chunks. Slice the ginger thinly for easy blending.
Step 2: Boil the hibiscus and pineapple peel
Add the hibiscus leaves, pineapple peel, and water to a large pot. Boil for about 20–25 minutes until the color deepens and the aroma fills your kitchen.
Step 3: Blend the flavor mix
While that’s boiling, blend pineapple flesh (optional), ginger, and cloves with a little water until smooth.
Step 4: Combine and strain
Pour the blended mixture into the pot of boiled hibiscus and pineapple peel. Let it simmer together for another 10 minutes, then allow to cool slightly.
Strain through a fine sieve and sweeten with honey or your preferred natural sweetener.
Step 5: Chill and serve
Pour into bottles or a jug and refrigerate. Serve cold over ice and garnish with pineapple slices or mint leaves.
Health Benefits

Teema Organics Tip
For a spiced twist, add a cinnamon stick or a few grains of alligator pepper while boiling. Want to keep it clean and refreshing? Skip the sugar and let the natural pineapple sweetness shine through!
